You're so right. CD/RW units have probably sold less than 100,000 units worldwide so far. Hardly enough to put a dent into Iomega's sales.

Yes indeed and I am speaking of a CD-RW user. Even when UDF is universally supported. Manufacturers must also make the drive write faster (4x at least). By that time, DVD-RAM will probably replace CD-RW (around 1999). CD-RW is only a transition product but its market will expand very fast until 1999.
