I agree with Al Gore. Constitutions like everything else evolve with the times.

As for the second amendment, I have mixed feelings, but mostly side with the elimination of it. It is not that I object to a person owning a gun for protection. The problem I have is that I don't think people should be taking the law into there own hands. I live in Nevada, which is a very pro gun state, which has wide ranging support, even amongst liberals and progressives. But the talk I hear from many conservative people owning guns is scary: they feel they can prevent shooting sprees from Psychos by carrying a gun. I object to that vehemently. Let law enforcement do their job. Don't take over their role. I do support people using their guns if someone breaks into their house or tries to rob them. But many people in Nevada think they are living in the Wild Wild West and that logic is stupid and only makes matters worse.
Ultimately, I support the removal of all guns from the private citizenry since it will simplify matters and many are just to immature to own a gun.
