The base knows they are corrupt and don't care as long as they beat up liberals, are pro choice and put in judges that look like them, etc. The south is still full of racists. But they have not connected very well how much they will be hurt personally, like the pubs trying to get rid of the ACA, medicare and social security. <, I have to disagree on the leadership part. I think they know their party is corrupt. Hell, one of the recent polls says only 17% of Americans are shocked that Trump asked Ukraine to interfere with our elections. They know their party is corrupt and they don't care. That's the part Dems don't get right.
