Kane is the characters real name and his nickname was "grasshopper." He was an oriental hero who roamed the west and politely tried to correct the bad manners of the American cowboy. Since he knew all sorts of Kung Fu self defense (???) he ususally ended up beating the snot out of the bad guys. On the other hand his training gave him a special insight into the soul/spirit of man which resulted in him still having to beat the snot out of someone. He received the nickname as a child during his training from a blind old sage...who knows..maybe the old man really thought he was working with a grasshopper. He was probably on the downward side of his career path and figured he was now receiving special assignments to enlighten the insect world. T.R. P.S. GOOD MORNING (almost forgot that)
