Since he knows he broke the law his entire life he avoided prosecution because he found a weakness in our justice system. Prosecutors need money to win. So when he created fake universities in Florida and Texas and was forced to close them but he avoided prosecution by donating to corrupt prosecutors. He knows he'll leave office at some point so now the best he can hope for is dying in office.

But he's also an egomaniac. He's completely unhinged now that he can't control the news cycle.

His Sec. of State lied about not knowing he committed a felony (he was on the phone) and he asked his employees to not talk to Congress about the crime he witnessed because he's using tax dollars to chase after conspiracy theories. I don't think any of them care what he thinks. They'll talk to Congress.

If he's so damn innocent, why are they so afraid? Regardless, Barr and Pompeo are crooks and while they may be able to help him, they need to look at the crimes they're going to be charged with. Barr is named in the complaint and then told the DNI to not send the complaint to Congress. That's obstruction of justice.

I see the Washington Post gave Pompeo four Pinocchios for his lies about Ukraine. Will his employees or the press believe anything he says from now on?
