It's being done with jars on desks.

What's wrong with this experiment?
(Hint; people and all living things don't live in jars on desks.)

The experiment in the video is an attempt to replicate the widely distributed videos of Man Made Global warming property of CO2 I have shown in the link where it starts at second 55. "Al Gores Climate 101 video."

The Climate Change Acceptor video clearly demonstrated the experiment showed a null result. The CO2 container was not warmed preferentially by the IR lamps.

I bought Al Gores book "The Assault on Reason" and watched his video here. It's a good speech.

Al Gore delivers his speech well and is undoubtedly a person who means to do good. The trouble is he seems to have only a minimal grasp of science and looked up to his talented tutor for the low down on what is happening to the climate. (Professor Roger Revelle)

The fact is, to me... it does not matter who is right and who is wrong in the various hypothesis "CO2 man made warming", "stationary climate", or "global cooling". A correct analysis is what we are looking for .... and all proposals, good and bad experiments, "right" and "wrong" results, it all helps develop a deeper knowledge in the subject matter ... how is our climate changing and do we really know what we are doing?

So regarding the shown HadCRUT4 anomaly and correlation with rising CO2. Yes there does seem to be a correlation, but are we sure is not also correspond with the stabalization and clearing of cloud cover especially since 1998? A lot of city pollution was cleared up since about the 1970's and that good work has now probably been overwhelmed and reversed by China and other developing economies belching real pollution like Mercury and Sulfur Dioxide into the air from coal fired Power Stations.

Do clouds control climate?

Secondly there is also the The Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. I have seen some startling correlations of the AMO on all sorts of phenomina, floods for example which show a strong 66 year cycle.

Here is another correlation.

Leonard Nimmo speaks in the late 1970's on the immediate threat of Global Cooling... Things looked real bad as super cold winters were pinching in. Every one is wearing overcoats in the video with the collars turned up and the presentation just makes one want to go "Brrrr" & shiver with the cold. A Cave Bear like extinction & very cold termination event looked to be staring us in the eyes !

I think we were really looking at an AMO low point at the time, and then things turned around...

I think the cloud forming Cosmic Ray Index and the Suns activity are important factors too... even though many publications say these have been "discounted" as factors in the Earths Climate... The fact is I do not believe that for a minute... I think those factors are all important and time will tell in the next decade imho.
