These last days are terrible and exhausting-there's no way to lie comfortably on or around that huge mound.
So here's my bet---I vote for Sat night---labor starts in earnest and Helen is born Sunday morning. Has LS scrubbed the floor on hands and knees yet? I did that the day before labor began for both ...had an uncontrollable urge. (Unfortunately, not a recurring one.)
You'd better have a plan to get us word, Bub!

Alex, if you can find a warm pool nearby, try taking her to that.

Floating will make her feel wonderful.

Whirlpool's, I believe, are not good at this point though. Something about the blood flowing too quickly.

I'm telling you - January 26 is a wonderful day on which to be born. I'm still rooting for it.

My son was born 10 days before the due date, so that I missed being too uncomfortable. I also missed having to cook for a dinner party I had planned for friends who were coming to town! I was full of energy during pregnancy, working on such projects as hand printing drapes for my living room which had an enormous picture window. Martha Stewart could have learned from me...
