Stan, Great post! I love it!!<<Kim Edwards is no longer a genus, but is - in fact - a vile, evasive simpleton.>>And the best<< Rocky the nut case is now a respected and prescient analyst with penetrating vision - and not the proverbial stopped-clock that has to be right eventually>> It is amazing! I can't imagine how some of these people can actually make money in the market. The fipflopping blows me away.

Regards

Ira

>>Oh my! Such handwringing. These are the times that try mens souls (and - of course - certain womens).

So If I said 'let me throw in my 2 cents', would you be offended?

First, I am amazed that:

1. Kim Edwards is no longer a genus, but is - in fact - a vile, evasive , dishonest simpleton.

2. Iomega is no longer the leader in a rapidly expanding market with fantastic possibilities - which (by any standard but those of the most jaded) - has had GREAT EARNING, GREAT GROWTH and a GREAT YEAR.

3. Rocky the nut case is now a respected and prescient analyst with penetrating vision - and not the proverbial stopped-clock that has to be right eventually

Shame on all you so-called investors! (Forget you traders: live by the blip die by the blip) Syquest investors get a wanger when their company looses less money than they did the quarter before. But not us. Oh no. 2cents under estimates and it's the end of the world. Get real! This too shall pass.

As for the numerous cockroaches and gravediggers , who chose this particular moment to crawl out of the woodwork and do the "we so smart and you aint " boogie - UP YOURS - it aint over yet.

Stan (long and strong on Iomega) and waiting for the last laugh.>>>

Stan, couldn't have said it better. Thanks for the above post and the typing that you've saved me. I can't believe all the strangers posting today. Including that foul mouthed Willey. Someone should report him to the webmistress.

If a bohemoth (sp?) like GE misses their numbers by a penny, why can't IOM. THEY'RE ONLY HUMAN FOR GOD'S SAKE.

Stan -

I'll take that post to heart, partially. I was dismayed at missed estimate, since I didn't expect it.

And, in fact, I said I thought KE was being less than honest re: the Asian influence on the earnings shortfall.

This brings me to the third thing I (re)learned today: Don't react until you have all the facts.

I just listened very carefully to the conference call, and I feel a lot better.

Most specifically, I did not feel the KE was hedging or holding out. He said that Asia did cost them some money, since some orders were deferred, but that the bigger problem was "not getting products out the back door." By that, he was referring to new products, specifically, Jaz2, Buz, and DittoMax Pro.

I'll catch up before I say more, but right now I will say that I'm staying long for at least another two quarters.
