Alex: Morgan Stanley initiated coverage with an "Outperform" recommendation on Monday this week, a news flash from Bloomberg was translated and published in Sweden. It was just a couple of hours before the Libya news release, I suppose Morgan Stanley knew about the Libya news in advance. Immidately after Bloombergs' news flash Sands stock price jumped 3% (and another 15% a couple of hours later on the Libya news).

Quite a few analysts reports were released in Sweden last year, and they all recommended "Buy" (Sands). Targets around 55-60 Swedish Krona = US$ 7-7 1/2. After the recent Libya discovery Sands price target for 1998 is in the 60-100 range = US$ 7 1/2 - 12 1/2. Can you guess what I'm inclined to think, closer to 7 or 12? <g>

Thanks for the info on the road show, it looks very promising!

Alex: Thanks for the details on the North American dog & pony show. I didn't know Morgan Stanley was handling the deal and will connect with my contacts there. My group has several hundred thousand shares of IRPPF (it's our second biggest holding), so I plan to attend the New York opening. If I can do anything for you -- or anyone else -- while I'm there, please let me know.

The road show has been postponed one month, the tour will start mid March instead of mid February.

Ian Lundin: The Company is aggressively pursuing new acreage and expects to be awarded one or more new blocks in Libya. The ecxellent results of the B1-NC177 well combined with the very large upside potential of the eastern extension indicate that Block NC177 could be a true company builder. RSO intends to explore and develop this block to its full extent over the coming years and expand its presence in Libya through other ventures.
