E-brokers on the rise after Fidelity joins in with commission-free trades
Oct. 10, 2019 8:13 AM ET|About: TD Ameritrade Holding Corpo... (AMTD)|By: Liz Kiesche, SA News Editor

E-brokers rise in the premarket, now that all the major players are on-board with commission-free online trades.

TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ: AMTD) gains 2.2%, E*Trade (NASDAQ: ETFC) rises 1.5%, and Charles Schwab is up 0.6%.

Smaller Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IBKR), which launched its Lite zero-commission services on Sept. 26, falls 1.0%.

----------------------------------------------------------

When I asked Schwab about lost Revenues they said it was somewhere near 13% vs AMTD at 35%. Their margin interest fees can be North of 10%. I do not use margin but the rates are very high especially when compared to Treasury rate now.
