Uh huh. Where exactly have you presented any arguments at all, John, except the Reggie-style "Microsoft Rules"? Usually correct position, I guess that makes you a bit more humble than Reggie, who is always correct. That Jesse Berst, with all his Redmond sources, he couldn't possibly have anything to say, compared to you and Reggie.

And, I wouldn't exactly say they cut the Judge out, since his much-maligned add/remove excercise seems to have been the chosen path on the settlement. The other John never quite paid attention to it when he was asking his stupid "who's going to tell Microsoft what to take out" question. Which I answered, twice, without acknowledgement, other than the usual ad hominem you and he favor so much.

Of course, I wouldn't predict anyone will remove the logo, remember, the OEMs all love Microsoft! Bill made sure they all said that early and often when the Compaq sacred icon war story hit the streets. And, they still got to go do those non-disclosable negotiations for a while more. But, they could have saved themselves a lot of bad press. Of course, as a hearts and minds guy, the bad press was truthful press, too, right? Everybody here has known all about "standard Microsoft business practice" for a while, I find it all to the good that a few other people know more about it now. Like those CIO's Merril Lynch polled.

Finally, as Casey Stengel said, it ain't over till it's over, and this one ain't over by a long shot. We'll see how it turns out.

Cheers, Dan.

>>>I guess what I mean by biased is having a point of view based on
personal notions and emotion. I think I have presented very reasonable
arguments to support my usually correct position.<<<

So you *do* have a sense of humor!
