Michael: My suggestions are for investors (long), not necessarily for "traders," though I suspect both will do fine with them. Of course, if the entire market takes a major plunge, they might suffer, though I think less than the market as a whole (since they are already beaten down). Also, they likely would recover more vigorously. Ray

Michael, I would be curious to know what strike prices and months you wrote your covered calls on. I previously sold the KLIC April 30 calls but at this juncture it appears extremely unlikely that they will be exercised. In the conference call today Scott K. mentioned that in the future he expects substantially fewer players in the semiconductor equipment industry. He referred to them as "consolidators" and "consolidatees". I note several semiconductor equipment companies are now trading for near book value. Any thoughts on what business combinations would make stragetic sense (ie Novelles/Lam). I note several companies on a pure earnings basis would be trading substantially lower than they are now; do you feel that the book value sets a floor on how low the stocks can trade. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
