All:

Lots of discussion of IOM. Any thoughts about the effects of Gateway 2000's surprisingly good results on Intel? Apparently sub 0 PC's and Asia are not going to put either of them out of business by this time tomorrow.

Excerpt from WSJ:

Gateway 2000 Inc. surprised Wall Street with a 5% gain in fourth-quarter profit, a much stronger rebound than expected from its loss in the third quarter..........

"It's not like the whole world has gone to sub-$1,000s," said Ted Waitt, Gateway chairman and chief executive officer, using the industry moniker for low-priced PCs. "The sweet spot for us in the market was $2,000."

Best Regards,

Greg Gimelli
