getgo:

1. 20 million units for the year. Probably around 300-400 million in revenue for LSI based on $15-$20 / chip. Seasonally somewhat weak in Dec. but this was expected and is in line with the norm. Q3 strong so that Christmas inventory is available for the chips.

2. SOC = System On a Chip

3. Networking was about a third of total sales for the year. And around that level (maybe a bit higher) for Q4. High momentum in this area (hence networking stocks are ready to surge?) Characterized as "very strong". Plus have the PLD to ASIC paradigm shift as Wilf called it. LSI extremely well positioned.

4. Don't know where the Sony chips are manufactured. Presumably Japan like you say. But can't say for certain. LSI is well hedged re: earnings because of the Japanese manufacturing fabs.

5. Only Sony. As Wilf implied "no real surprise".

6. No. But the 2 million was reassuring. Certainly this with Wilf's recent purchase are welcome.
