Very interesting.

John Howland might not tune up M2-208 and K6-208 well in the BIOS. With the support of linear burst mode and fine tune the timing, the RAM speed on M2 83Mhz bus should over 190MB/sec on cachechk.

At home, I use M2-166Mhz and my son uses K6-208. K6-208 has better benchmark over M2-166Mhz. However, M2-166Mhz is noticeably faster than K6-208 on every jobs that we are familiar with.
