Hi Jules, this is the real deal. I don't know if he is guilty, or not, I don't think we will ever know. But I've pulled out of a couple of trading positions today, and I may pull out of some more tommorrow.

I'll keep my core holdings untouched.

Tell me, what happened to the markets during the Nixon day's?

Michael

The Market fell apart during Watergate. '73-'74 was brutal, if I recall correctly the Dow fell below 400 from its 1971 high of around 1000. Part of the reason was that foreign investors panicked as Nixon was driven from office; but then we also had the first OPEC oil shock at the same time, so who knows how much the political situation contributed to the bear market back then. I'll guess that tossing Clinton out will again scare foreign investors; so, you have Asia, and Europe will soon have its own currency crisis as they switch over to the ECU; should be a really nasty bear market in my estimation. I'm looking at some short funds.

Hi Jules, how nice to see you!
Do you remember last February when the Lincoln bedroom scandal was happening? At that time you were very concerned about what might happen should Clinton be involved in a really serious situation that would actually cause crippling in the government. I guess the current situation will depend on whether it results in real legal issues and the commission of crimes, with the possibility of removal, or is merely another embarrassment in a line of many. In that case, I would see things going on as usual. We seem able to withstand a lot of sordid personal revelations.
I'm pretty confused about the legal questions in this, though. And am a lot more interested in your opinion and predictions!

Hi, Jules, long time no read!

<<Is he guilty?, and if so, what would it do to the Market?>>

Who cares? It's still the economy, stupid!

(Not directed at you, Jules, it's a campaign thing...)
