Stefan, an NR4 day is one in which that day's range (HIGH-LOW) is the narrowest range for the last four days. An inside day is one in which the days high is lower than the previous day's high AND the day's low is higher than the previous day's low, i.e., the day's range falls inside the previous day's range. In both cases, you are looking for declining volatility in anticipation of a breakout (in one or either direction)....Pete
