Methane Sources and Sinks.

Right thanks... and I looked at the Wikipedia table closely.

One of the things that I found alarming was the amount of Methane produce due to human activity.

A big part of the yellow pie is "Enteric fermentation" which is basically plant eating animals including livestock. Termites look to be smaller then when I last heard about them ... could of been the 80's when their role was perceived to be much larger.

The table is OK, but often the notes are sometimes more important then the table. It mentions there are uncertainties in the numbers. There are also spikes and troughs that have yet to be accounted for. That's OK and it's important to be aware of the uncertainties. The illustrated human contribution to the methane source is still startling all the same. Something to be aware of.
