Education makes "tolerance and accountability" possible, because it better allows people to see things in a more complex manner. Without education people are blind to social justice's.

Just think of the penalties in the middle ages. Children in England would often have an ear nailed to a plank and had to pull it out to leave and people were flogged and tortured, etc. We do much less of that stuff today.

A perfect example is the death penalty. Most of the educated societies have outlawed it because they know it is inhumane for a society to kill anyone.

An educated person would understand that a killer e.g. may have been beaten as a child, or have mental problems or be innocent, so while we must separate them, we should not kill or torture them.

And today here, we liberal dems are against it and the uneducated conservative pubs are for it.

If you study history you will see our attitudes about incarceration became more humane as we became more educated.

Yeah, that was part of the insanity wasn't it? An ostensibly "educated people" that were drawn down a path of irrational nationalism stoked with a dangerous mix of mysticism, science, technology, and... all that was Nazi Germany.
Part of why the mantra of "we need education" is too simplistic and bugs the crap out of me.
We need some tolerance and accountability for the forces that are in control.
