I better make one last correction - the decline in COES' % ownership of CXI may have been due to the increase in CXI shares (private placement, etc.). So even if COES sold no shares of CXI, the % owned by COES would decline. Of course, so would the % of all CXI owned by individual CXI shares, so the COES/CXI moves in that case *should* still theoretically match, all other factors assumed equal.
