You are mixing up and conflating several ideas. Our ability to produce terrible weapons has nothing to do with our collective humanity. the ability to destroy human civilization has nothing to do with our recognition slavery, racism and sexism are bad.

And a person buying clothing made in a sweatshop is not as bad as a society that allows them in the first place.

It is simple really. We were animals for millions of years and lived as smart animals. And we fought all the time and females were ruled by males.

15,000 years ago we settled down and started learning and here we are.

Our cultural evolution was that straight forward.

<Can you not see how much kinder we are today than even 100 years ago and certainly 200 years ago when slavery was common place?>

No that is not apparent. 100 years ago we had no nerve gas and nuclear weapons - all products of education. You could visit Syria and Turkey and come home in one piece. Don't even get me started about the rest of the Middle East.
