Josh corporate and government facilities will continue to use desktop computers for a long time.

That isn't in question. it is about numbers of devices and the trend toward mobility and how 5G might be the turning point of the need of be wired vs being wireless.

If security and connectivity can be as good as today wired standards, why bother to wire.

When I worked at Microsoft everyone had a laptop but not everyone had a desktop. When they attended meetings or conferences on campus or in other cities or while working in hotels, airplanes, trains or ubers while on business trips and even when they were at home they used wireless laptops. In fact most of the desktops at Microsoft were used at test platforms.

Today it is all about mobility. That is why 5G is so important.
