In the mid 70's I was stationed in Japan and when I moved there I took my 700-800 LP record collection with me. After about a year there I learned that in Tokyo there are some major record collecting stores and I cleaned up selling many of my LP bought for $3.69 at Topps or Korvette Department stores in the 60's for major bucks Jazz and blues were big seller. I am guessing I was selling them for $20-40 a piece considering the exchange rate at the time. By the time I left there and moved to Hawaii I has sold maybe 600 LPS and pocketed a nice profit. Don
