Why do you think cablemodem will fail?
I believe there is analog component involved with xDSL, unless they use only fibre-optic transmission.

Jeff or Todd, have anything to say about Pax2 sales figure?

I believe Semtech's TVS product line (or an outgrowth of the current product line) would be used in high speed datacom apps like cable and xDSL. I don't think that cable will fail, but I believe that in 5 years, xDSL will be much more predominant than cable. The service will be more reliable, the speeds will be faster (if everyone on the block is using the cable modems, the transmission rate drops a lot), and it will be more intuitive (how many people have a cable hookup near their computers? Not me.).
