Use whatever term suits you better.

Aside from that ... Who is discouraging mobility? As long as Canada remains Canada, people can move to whatever part of the country they prefer for whatever reason.

If people are desperate for $7/day childcare or whatever other perks, they are free to move to QC. If people want huge government subsidies on electric cars, they move to BC. All minor shit distracting from the benefits of a united Canada which I believe the vast majority of Canadians want BUT can’t get because self-serving politicians get in the way.

I believe in an idea based on ensuring people have the same service levels everywhere. Everyone in Canada came here for a better life. This generation or 100 generations ago. Why discourage mobility now? What is wrong with people moving for better opportunities?

You have just exemplified why the west should go it alone.

If Canada was to split. Many politically dissatisfied central and easterners would migrate west before they had to do it through immigration procedure. Lots of people from Central Canada including Quebec and the maritime provinces. Disillusioned by the status Quo. have migrated west already. Working in the Logging, Oil and Gas industries. The western population continues to expand.

Revenue generation for the country is growing faster out west than any other region. But no where does one hear of the central provinces discussing a sharing or equalization of power. The cow that feeds in the west is still as always being milked east of Manitoba.

The very reason the Reform Party who openly stated so flourished under Preston Manning.
An ever growing percent of westerners want changes. Even if it takes breaking up the Country.
In many towns it is coffee shop discussion. All it would take is, another person like Manning to take the lead again.
Personally; I would immediately, volunteer as a local director. Like I did for the Reform Party in BC. Recruiting many initial regional base members who worked diligently at growing the BC reform party members.

I am not knocking easterners as a population. But I despise Central / east one sided greedy, dominating politics.

Honestly it just dawned on me that it is like Equality of Outcome..

I am in favour of not leaving folks behind.. good public health care and education for reasons (not actually bleeding heart altruism either) I have posted ad nauseam.. ..

but guaranteed Equality of Outcome..is an impossible ideal.. and not actually fair or natural...
