was considering Boeing as a candidate for something, ranging between an outright short of the share to a slightly long by short of put

cannot decide yet but pondering, as am doing same re Pd vs Pt

should the 737 max not fly again, ouch

should another plane get into hot water, double ouch

issue ... are all the cockroaches outed already

it is difficult to price in cancellation of 737 - a Chrysler / Citibank sort of situation

Must at least consider to extract some goodness from a bad situation of Boeing via some combination option trade to stitch together the company and one of its large customers as they explore shared fate divided by transfer of cash and troubles.

Maybe it would also matter to the GEs of this world.

Shall ponder.
Deep-state would not let Boeing fall. Too many export orders, subsidy to F35 program, jobs, etc

this just came across my desk. unsecured convertible bond from norwegian airlines

they are big owner of the 737 max. 18 of them

Norwegian announced today that it will temporarily suspend Boeing 737 MAX flights, following recommendations by European aviation authorities. ... While Norwegian has 18 Boeing 737 MAX 8 in its fleet today, the airline also has 110 Boeing 737800 aircraft, which will not be affected by the suspension.Mar 12, 2019

must be hurting .

and this article confirmed same

fortune.com

can imagine that many airlines are getting ready to sue Boeing for damages or even force boeing to take aircraft back.

ie do you you want the 737 max in your fleet.

goods sold , not as decribed , could a good trial trial lawyer prove misrepresentation and fraud on part of boeing?

anyways the convertible is interesting , but i wont be buying any.

very good move by united.

They have one of lowest ownership of 737 max

Hit harder are southwest , westjet , american , air canada

Interesting to watch is cancelling dates on the plans. (Ie date which if not delivered by it can be cancelled )

2 potential places to watch.

Customer who ordered at boeing and have ability to cancel
Impact on boeing as must return deposit and find another buyer for plane

Air craft lessors who has a plane , under lease but can not deliver aircraft to operator
Or has slot at boeing but does not have solid back to back contract with operator.

Some aircraft lessors are loving the moment as have little exposure on 737 max and have been able to get top dollar for extending old aircraft that otherwise would have been scrapped.
