Note that it is much harder to get ISDN in the USA than in Europe. Also ISDN prices in USA are relatively high (in Europe, ISDN is about twice as expensive as a normal phone line but in the US the difference is much higher).
Most ISDN connections in the USA used to be 56k because of in-band signalling. The standard trick around it (if you have AT&T as provider) is to request a EuroISDN connection or DSS1 connection. That way you gan get 64k ISDN in the USA too.
