Lil Joe, did you miss me answering that earlier? Monetary Jewelry is another way to speak of high karat gold...18K to 24K such as is regularly purchased in Pacific Rim countries.

You may not be aware, but the Atocha discovery/recovery off the East Coast-USA a few years back is a recent visual example of monetary jewelry. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if they don't have a website...

Anyhoo...
I've worn one of their gold rope necklaces where EACH one of their 24K links weighed the same out to 4 decimal places.
Each link could be twisted off, the necklace re-attached to the next link and the wearer continue on about their marketing chores.

Fabulous craftspersonship, and fabulous opportunity to feel that silky dowry around my neck...a feeling I've never forgotten!
