Patrick,

Crude Oil

I found out from someone in the industry that the main issue with crude oil if micro-analyzed goes back to the currency problem in Asia.

It was explained to me that the suppliers of CRUDE will only except US$ as payment. Therefore with the currencies devalued against the US$, the price of CRUDE has risen dramatically in the local currency.

Im no expert here, so I hope it relayed the info correctly.

Seeya

I think the winter storms were already factored in that is why the crude staid up for long. With the Mr. Nino having done its job, currency devaluations and end of winter nearing don't expect a bear trap. A spike or two may occur (good for shorting). As for the milatary solution it is a non-issue. If US wants to play a role in Mid-East peace the last thing is a military action (and that is why Sadam is trying to have'em by doing his saber rattling).
