Steve,

The same could be said for RAIN. They announced a split when the stock was $36 or so, announced a 4th quarter miss by a penny and traded to $18 range. Split 3 for 2 and are now at $12. Go figure.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you want to view it, the split came after the drop. Maybe in RAINs case it would have been better before the drop...who knows.

ACK!

GO PACK GO!

I completely agree with what you are saying about the under $10. I just happend to be short IOM when they came out with that suprise stock split announcement. They timed it to conincide with the strong resistance at $30. After the announcement, it was able to break through $30 and I had to cover the short. Really pissed me off, especially since I was out of town at the time and couldn't watch it really close. You could see something bad was coming just looking at short term moving averages on the thing. Now everybody knows why.
