They don't want anyone outside their demographic circle "on their lawn" or in the USA; except the gardener/house-cleaner who discreetly works his/her ass off for lower costs and risks to the them. "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Quiet!!" An altruist fills water jugs and bottles and leaves them in deserts where immigrants might flow into the US, to save these fellow humans from dying. The sociopath literally follows the altruists and empties the bottles. It happens. They rationalize this it will deter people and thus save more lives-- and the nation from mooches, drug smugglers, rapists, diseased scary people and terrorism too. This is what they call "patriotic."
