I may be completely mistaken, but I think the quiet period refers to a period surrounding an earnings announcement during which company insiders or those with priviliged information regarding the upcoming announcement may not buy or sell shares in the company. BTW: Like you George, I am waiting for any news to surface about the machines. I think they will be plenty of time to profit from any move in the share price after things are much clearer than they are at the moment. David
