Stan to log into your modem, my user name and password is on the modem, type your modem IP address in your address bar and login. If you are not sure how call your ISP.

I changed my default user name and password for the modem, as well as the one for WiFi.

Stan

1. Have you tried different browsers to see if there are different results
2, How are you downloading these files? Can you give an example.

3. I have recently had problems access SI and viewing pages.

The login details are usually on the underside of the Modem/Router.

Before you do that though, might be easier just to change the wifi connection on your laptop from the 5g band to the 2.5g band you might see a huge difference.

If that does not work, go back to the 5g connection and log into the router. I usually use a cable connection when I dinker with the modem/router. I have everything recorded and backup up before I make changes too. There will be some default setting in the router modem too, dont use those unless you everything else goes completely wrong. There will be instructions somewhere so study those first.

To be honest though, checking out your router out and backing it up is not a big deal once you have been through the learning process. The big problem for newbies is dinkering with stuff and then not knowing how to undo what they have done ... or forgetting what the setting was originally. We all do that btw -g-
