Penni, 'wake up' in the plural sense. Lets dig a little deeper, ok? The problems facing the president are the result of his sexual appetite, they are NOT crimes against the state or office. Please read this through to the end. They are NOT problems of illegal funding for private spy operations against the will of Congress in Nicaragua. They are NOT problems of state rule or proceedures or clandestine power grabs. Nor are they accusations of his otherwise notable leadership. The problem is one of personal behavior and potential attempts at coverup. That's it. This is in every way something which has its error in judgement coming from personal inter-relationships with individual women over a period of time. While the coverup process may lead to a charge of perjury or worse, any intelligent person can see that this is a series of events starting from his pants zipper, not from a misuse of political power. Zippergate. Please don't anyone say that he used the office of the president for sexual favors... because that process of workplace intimidation and Adulation is not unique here, it happens in corporation, in churches, in sports, it may just be a sordid part of human sexuality in heirarchal structures. You can certainly find enough examples in our anthropologic past and in the animal world. This situation is Clinton and his pants, not Clinton the President using the office for state crimes. Because of this, its fair and meaningful, and even our obligation to look closely at the root of this sexuality problem in the context of social convention and mores to see if there isn't something basically wrong with our attitudes in general... without whose judgemental eye this wouldn't be a problem at all... he would have continued to have random affairs and pay the price on a personal level as would the women volunteered to play with him. This price could be severe, it could be the loss of his marriage and the other damage. This is a case of what he and his lovers over time have probably considered private affairs. Had he not become president, I don't think Paula Jones or anyone else would give a hoot who he chased.
