wow, that's news to me too, I was under the impression (i.e. had been told by my broker!) that 10 contracts flew right through without even allowing the MM an opportunity to screw you. no, of course a market order is never an alternative under any circumstances: "what's the bid/ask on those?" "3 by 3 1/4" "ok put in a market order for 5 contracts" "ok order's in, let's hold and see if we get a report...ok here's a report for you, you bought 5 at 3 1/2" "WHAT!? what's the bid/ask!?" "3 by 3 1/4" no thanks!
