I don't see your conversations with Koan as rising to the level of ad hominem wars in other forums. Its more George - Gracie than Ali - Frazier. The fabrics of your posts are steeped in good humor and loving kindness. Koan is highly intelligent, and passionate about his ummmm, consistent philosophy. When he disappeared for a period several years ago -- everyone was very deeply concerned. My introverted "dorky" older brother used to rage and then beat the shit out of me when we were children. It helped me realize that politics and violence can start with families. It also taught me that confronting rage or anger with tit-for-tat descends into a shitshow that benefits nobody. Oh BTW he liked/likes his guns, too. I still don't own one. This brother is still kind of an asshole and I am wary; but he votes for Democrats. No worries.
