Actually My Billy Goat.. while still an IC engine is a 4 stroke so far better than the 2 cycle leaf blowers .. Quieter... more efficient... and does not mindlessly blow detritus around :).. No not perfect.. but I bought it because I saw the nonsense of the leaf blowers.. still a required evil in my line of work... but my Billy does afar cleaner job all around... I have battery operated tools also.. for garden jobs.. but not up to snuff as yet... except for small applications and backup... Mind you I do have an almost full line of battery operated power tools (Milwaukee) .. For construction power tools .. mostly battery HAS arrived...

Also at 8500 sqft under cultivation I do need some help.. That said.. it is under the auspices of the Sustainability department of The University of Toronto.. No chem pesticides etc.. all organic... I am far more carbon neutral and eco friendly than their grounds department :)) Which is beside our plots...

I want to keep away from politics here.. Two of the folks I post to most here are you and Bob.. I am in the middle :)

By the By LC.. I am in the process of convincing my large client to set aside part of their forest area (over 2 acre property in middle of Toronto) as a compost area.. They want the property to look neat and tidy and I can appreciate that.. . But is it nonsensical to pay me to clean leaves.. have the city (or me for compost LOL) take them away and then they pay to buy compost each year to refresh the garden areas.. I am working on it :))

Next spring I will be introducing more native species... This place is a beautiful canvas for me :))

It's coming :) Message 32397925

BTW one of the largest lawn/garden/snow maintenance equipment distributors in Toronto is heavily promoting a battery powered leaf blower this fall.. They cater to pros.. so it must be getting there :)
