"TWO WEEKS": "Information requested will be submitted with in the next two weeks."

That was a Company statement on friday, Jan.9,1998. Well; it has been two weeks.
I think "..... first quarter, or shortly there after" was the right thing for the Company to say this time around. After all they thought they were being conservative when they said by "year end".
The " shortly there after" clause avoids the locking in to a specific date like March 31, 1998. I do think the Company would like to beat a forecast for once and for sure avoid disappointing us.
But what did they submit that took two weeks to put in a format for the FDA? That is if it actually took that long.
Obviously, what they submitted will contribute to the length of time it takes the FDA to review it. It just may take two months or so or it may take only a brief review. I don't know one way or the other. Only ther Company and the FDA know that answer.
My position right now is that the long awaited approval could come anytime now with probability going up as time passes.:-} I do actually believe that the FDA wants to get their end of this process done, sooner the better and will act promptly as was said in the press release.
To all I am LONG, Extremely BIAS, and an OPTIMIST.
So we are back to PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE

Don, The Financial Times (yesteray) and CNBC (this morning) both expect a merger (AHP/SBH) decision in a week or two. I have details in the merger table at
