I believe that you are incorrect. MMX was supported by Cyrix and AMD. Since Intel is going alone, and will be competing with extensions supported by AMD, NS, etc., it makes sense that they would spend significant multiples of what they spent. They are now supporting an Intel only standard, not an industry standard. Your interpretation may be right, but I think it's due to this issue. In any event, Intel has been very clear that they are pressing graphics as the next direction for growth. Larry
