“My main concern is the questionably high sodium content of these veggie-based alternatives, which can rank up to five times the amount of a regular burger patty,” said Rachel Fine, RD, owner of To The Pointe Nutrition, a nutrition counseling firm in NYC.

Having had 24 hours to reflect on the false-burger, I cannot see burger eaters switch to alt-burger in any number that might matter. Call me old fashioned.

I cannot see vegetarians opt to consume alt-meat of the poor (taste) quality of bynd meat. Call me conservative.

I cannot see McDonald’s rollout bynd burgers when MCD can rollout alt-MCD burgers should such be advantageous.

So, then what is the profile of bynd burger repeat buyer? Dunno. Watch n brief.

I suspect my first bynd burger also my last. Should I need to go vegetarian for any reason, am good to stay w/ Chinese mock- meats - believe they are available as canned food in lots of places selling such.
