"Tell that to Wharfie, who claimed the defense has to 'prove that the call wasn't really the call'." That's really hard to do, when the defense starts out by saying, "here's the transcript of the call." I would say that it is time to either start plea-bargaining, or to begin buying off the jury..

Trump admits he asked the president of Ukraine to investigate Biden and so does his acting chief of staff. I don't need to defend anyone else's comments. Trump confessed. It'll be poetic justice to see a "tape" of the call bring him down just like tapes brought down Nixon. The problem is singular. Republicans are piss poor when it comes to judging character. They can't be in positions of leadership.
