s martin: More hokus-pokus. The intent to merge was not announced until sometime in September or October as I recall. With this stock and the multiude of postings I find hard to remember my name let alone significant posts. Thus the release you cite IMO is nothing more than a smoke screen to buy time to figure a way out of this mess they have been caught in down in Florida and in Colorado. Had they announced that merger discussions had commenced back in early June of '97 but did not reach agreement until later on they might have a leg to stand on but back then they were supposedly merging with PALCO, n'est pa?
