Ron,
When you hear the FED guys and Rubin saying "deflation is not a factor"(early this week)...translate as:"We are pumping so much money into the economy that inflation will be rampant!"

Oil & Gold both up strong today...hmmmm.....

They both did well in the post 29 era BTW.

At one time I thought interest rates (alone) ruled the stock market.
Remember the M1 number and the market reaction ?
I do not know if today is like 1929 ?
I do know it is not like 1987, when you look at interest rates.
Maybe this bear (when it comes, as they always do) will be
more a supply/demand thing. Meaning too much supply (auto,oil,computers) and not enough demand.

Lucky for me, I get around all these if's by just following
the trend (g)
