That will help going forward, but attrition is too slow to make much difference in the global carbon footprint.

Yeah, I'm hoping for the same thing! A great start would be some biohacker finding the gene for 'asshole' and creating a virus that eliminates those people. It would clear the current Trump problem, as well.
