The permanent population of Germany has grown by 0.2% annually since 1990.

But Eastern Germany has 16% fewer residents today than in 1990 - a loss of roughly 37% of the 'Eastern German born population' under the age of 40. This has been offset by retirees from western Germany moving to eastern Germany where costs are lower but amenities are now the same as the west.

These population totals exclude the 1.4 million refugees currently resident in Germany.

Historically less than 5% of those granted refugee status eventually become citizens, woth 95% eventually returned. This diaspora from Syria would increase the number of Germans of Syrian origin by 10%.

The largest immigrant group in Germany at 4.2% of the population are Russians who remained behind after 1990, unlike Putin.

The second and third largest nations of origin at 3.4% are Poland and Turkey. How could German hotels operate without immigrants from Poland and Romania?

No one is looking to Asia ageing. It will be the biggest impact in the world.

All these youngster who manned Asian factories. All those who came to the Middle East to work.
Sail ships and flew airliners as crew. Welded pipes in the oil&gas business.

All will go down in numbers

Note that India has the numbers and won;t get old in the next 11 years. But India lacks the culture and education to take over.
