You can short stocks under $5 as long as they are still marginable. They don't lose their marginability the second they tick under $5. When stocks are under $5 you may have to do some negotiating with your brokers margin department though.

Looks like it's a horse race! FIBR just broke under 5 and CFON is just a tick under 5 too.

FIBR bid 4 7/8 down 11%. It's neck and neck...

Ralph, I have been shorting more CFON each time it sticks its head above $5.
