I read the SI thread but don't have the ability to post there.
Someone posted a question about the acquisition of Healthsource.
They were bought by CIGNA not Equitable. The price was $21.75
and there were about 65 million shares outstanding. Additionally there was about $200 million in o/s debt so the total purchase price was about $1.7 billion. HS had about 1 million HMO members and almost 2.5 million TPA/indemnity members. I think this answers all the questions that were asked on that thread. If anyone has access to post on SI could you update the OXHP thread with this info. The info they have is totally wrong.

Thanks,

MR. Ready

Tony, << The ultimate out was the sale to CIGNA, which probably overpaid. >>

How much did CIGNA pay, and when did they pay?

Thanks,
Thomas
