Actually I think he'll make money if he waited (and still had some more money).

I'm still thinking of Balkanski's quote yesterday...

''New volume markets in digital video are gaining momentum as the fundamental shift to digital begins to impact every aspect of consumer video entertainment,'' stated Alexandre Balkanski, president and CEO of C-Cube Microsystems.

You can't make money if you bought this thing a year ago for 42. It really would be nice to know what is motivating the analysts. I realize earnings have dropped but if they look beyond the forest they would see the major potential of DVD.

Look at the supply alliances, the one with Compaq proves that software driven solutions aren't being accepted and with the fact that Intel wants a Chip driven solution not software should have been a positive to CUBE months ago when it was announced. Based on the comments from the conference call the analysts should be upgrading not downgrading.

This guy must have a private agenda.
