That is what I was thinking. We know lying comes very easily to her. And her only real allegiance, I think, is to her moneybags, the Mercers. After Trump's demise--which surely is inevitable at some point--she will play the martyr, hanging in there in order to save the Republic.

She is certainly a likely candidate. It will be interesting to read the book to see if any "tells" can be uncovered to reveal the author.

I had been thinking Anonymous was someone no longer active in his administration, but as you suggest, it could be someone still in the WH.

This administration is like the real life version of the old board game called Clue.
