Excellent comment made by John A re superior quality canary fancy. There will be more to this story. Stay Tuned. Looks like the coloured stones is one of the issues that will eventually surprise the market, otherwise John would not have given that indication. Lets remember these guys are real cautious in what they say and make sure they have enough data to support their little hints.

I have been unable to find any references to individual fancies found so far by any of the NWT companies. Could it be that ACA has found the largest coloured gem so far in Canada. Regardless it is impressive especially in a minibulk sample that has not even been picked and sorted yet (as you stated Jesse).

For anyone who has not read it, here is a link to Dia Met history.

It's a pretty good and quick read. Gives you some idea of far ACA has progressed over such a short period of time.

Many of the NWT types are thumbing their noses at Alberta saying the geology is not right. What can I say I know nothing of these matters. However ACA is in fact finding diamonds and are very, very early in the exporation phase. Will they find a mine. They may already have but they have to prove it. The speed they are moving at, the huge size of the pipes they are sampling and with the absence of environmental concerns which exist in the NWT I think we will see Alberta progress much more quickly than the NWT.

It would have been nice to see Ashton release minibulk results including all stones (total carats) recovered per ton like so many of the other companies do. Would have given us a better means of comparing results. Obviously they are adhering to a higher standard of NR where only macro count (greater than .8 mm not just .5 mm) is issued to give a better representation of potential $/tonne value.

My thoughts.

John.
